Making Joints

This Tuesday & Wednesday (25th & 26th, September) I began my basic practical training in woodworking. I began by making a series of basic joints, Lapped joints, Mortise & Tenon joints and Bridle Joints (as illustrated). The tools I got practical use in whilst making these joints included chisels, marking tools, hand saw and the mortiser in the case of the Mortise & Tenon joint. All of these joints are of importance in getting to grips with workshop tools and joinery in general.
